Copper Peak, in Ironwood, Michigan, is the only ski flying facility in the Western Hemisphere and the largest artificial ski jump in the world. It was built in 1970 and most recently used in 1994. The inrun is 35 degree and 469 feet. There is an observation platform at the top of the tower, which is 1782 feet above sea level and 1180 feet above Lake Superior, providing the highest unobstructed 360 degree vista in the Midwest.  More information on Wikipedia.
