The Gummarusfeesten is an event that happens only every 25 years in Lier, Belgium. During the “Lierse Ommegang”, there is not only a parade in the city, but also a historical recreation of events that happened at the end of the 15th century. In this panorama, you can see the “Filips De Schone” and “Johanna van Castilie” addressing the crowds from the townhall. They will get married in the Sint-Gummaruschurch in Lier a few months later.
