The Gummarusfeesten is an event that happens only every 25 years in Lier, Belgium. During the “Lierse Ommegang”, there is not only a parade in the city, but also a historical recreation of events that happened at the end of the 15th century. For the occasion of the Gummarusfeesten, the historical St. Margarate church in the Beguinage of Lier was open for the public. If you look closely, you can even see some Beguines in the church.
