Panorama taken in the beach area of the Keith J. Charters Traverse City State Park, a 47-acre state parke in Traverse City, Michigan.  The beach is on lake Michigan, one of the great lakes. Although you would not normally expect waves on a lake shore, lake Michigan is so big that it generates waves.Traverse city is the largest city in the Northern Michigan region and is a popular toursist destination.

View of  Macinac Bridge from Bridge View Park in Point St Ignace. Mackinac Bridge is a suspension bridge over the Straits of Mackinac which connects the upper and lower peninsula of Michigan, USA.  5 Miles in length, for decades, the bridge was the longest suspension bridge in the world. This photo was taken from the upper peninsula. When you cross, you enter the lower peninsula through Mackinaw City.The Straits of Mackinac connects two of the Great Lakes, Lake Michigan and Lake Huron.

This panorama was taken by the Kalamazoo river in Saugatuck in Michigan, USA. From here, you can take the Mount Baldhead park trail to lake Michigan on the other side of the hill.
